DO’S & DON’TS

Contractors Do’s & Don’ts - why it’s best to go with a company that does it all in house

When doing a full renovation it's best to demo the home before designing new layouts so you can understand where all of the current mechanicals are.

Know your budget: it’s best to have a budget in mind so a contractor or designer can let you know if your budget fits your wish list and/or what you can achieve on your list because we can share our many experiences with you on what works and what just doesn’t.

It’s best to work with a design firm that can accommodate your architectural drawings, interior design, landscape design, furniture/finishes and manage your design needs so you know your renovation or new build will turn out to be a mirror image of what was designed.

Make sure to have a complete wish list no matter how big, so that your design team can accommodate all or as much of the dream list items.

Make sure when coming up with a budget you have budgeted for your designer.

When interviewing contractors keep in mind quality of work vs. cost. It’s super important to know that your contractor can accommodate the new design concept to the finish line with expert craftsmanship.
